Hi!
Last week I was visiting Finland, I was supposed to be there only for a weekend but then I got sick. My kind of luck, I had to skip few lessons but at least the service was great at home! I got anything I needed just by asking; ice cream etc. :D
Luckily we had time to spend outside also during the days that I wasn't sick. :) And this trip to Finland just reminded me what beautiful nature we have!!
When I came back St. Petersburg I noticed that Neva-river is melting and Spring is really coming, I saw it from all of the tourist busses around the city. :D I'm glad that we already had opportunity to see all the museums during the winter. :)
I can't wait to see how these huge parks are going to look like in a month! I bet it's going to be really pretty. :) Few weeks ago I was looking the map and noticed that there are actually quite many parks, and huge ones too!
I'm really looking forward for Tomi's brothers girlfriend Laura to come here so I can show her and her friend some cool places to visit! :) They will be here from between 9th-16th of April, jeij!

Maslenitsa!!
Good Wednesday everybody!!
Last weekend we were celebrating Maslenitsa and we also went to the roof of Isaac's cathedral where we were able to see the city from other point of view.. Here's some pic's!!
The maslenitsa event was near Kretovsky metro station and tickets with student card was only 50 rubles. There was parade with tradiotinal Russian dresses and singing and little stores selling food and accessories and eveything you can imagine.. :) I bought cute earrings with only 150 rubles. :)
We even got so into the celebrating that we were dancing in circle with others, it was so cool! And yes it happened totally sober! No need for alcohol if you want to have fun!
After the event we went to see lightshow near to Heremitage. It was amazing!! Music genres switced from traditional all the way to Ricky Martin and there was many stories presented with using only projectors and building.
Schooldays go so fast and today I got my multivisa so I'm going home first time now during my exchange! Maybe Spring will be here when I come back.. ;)

Shopping makes you day better
Hi!
Today I went shopping: Yoga carpet and huge balloon for training.. ;) It was really cheap from the Russian sport store that it really made my day, haha.. :) Our schoolday ended today quote early so I was able to see Church of the savior on blood from during daytime and ot was really great place to visit!
It was only 50 rubles and the amount of mosaics really surprised me.. :D 7500 square meters of mosaics! The pieces were so little that they've had so much to do while building that church.. I also went to have my first manicure and I managed to get time for today, I had to wait few hours but I did my shopping during that time of course.. ;)
Now I don't have to worry about getting my nails done on my own for a while.. I was quite shocked because the price was half of the prices of Finland.. :D Really nice day indeed! But now it's time for me to go to sleep, only one lecture tomorrow morning and the weekend is here! 8)

Men's day & Women's day
Hello!
Days go by so fast here that you don't even notice it. Last month we had Men's day, which included huge fireworks in the city center. Yesterday we had Women's day and there was florists everywhere! So these are huge events in Russia, and both times we've had two days off from school (Monday and Tuesday). Finland could learn from Russia in some cases. ;)
Yestarday we went to this really cozy Italian restaurant called Capuletti, and we enjoyed live Italian music and we even got free drinks! I think the waitress thought we're really desperate because everyone else was having dinner with family or boyfriend, and then there we were, five girls.. :D
I also did some tourist stuff at the Men's day when I went to do some sightseeing with Maria, and also managed to see sunshine during that day! Here's some picture from the day we went to see the statue of Peter the Great at the St. Isaac and Paul's fortress.
I really loved Summer garden, there was so many snowmans and I can only imagine it during Spring time with green leafs and all! Life is good and new friends from all over the world makes me smile.
